Yes, it's nice to be in a place we can truly call home again. The wine in this entry, however, may suggest something it doesn't. That is, it's not like we downed a bottle of wine to celebrate - we went to a local very nice restaurant with the kids for that. But, we have a few bottles of very good red wine, given to us by the escrow company and the realtors. We actually had to get some true, but casual, wine glasses that we can use to serve to those who visit - we haven't yet found the crystal ones saved for fancy occasions! One thing we noticed right off and continues to be true is that Northern Califorians like their wine. The neighbors, however, are very sweet and have brought us more traditional (in my mind) welcoming gifts such as cakes, cookies, and plants. It is really neat to have neighbors reach out like that. People are nice here. It's a momentous time for the Evans' family and the transition has been easier than I thought due to the generosity and sense of neighborliness that exists here.

Congratulations!!! We really like the house. The layout is perfect for an active family. What a long and eventful process!!
