This Day In History

1965: The Beatles perform at Shea Stadium.
1969: Woodstock music festival begins.
1993: Two otherwise sensible people get married at the tender ages of 22 and 23, doing what the modern world said that we need not or should not do.

Eighteen years later, the marriage endures happily, with much less screaming, hearing loss, mud or drug use (non-prescription, anyway) than the other two events.

Glad to know the drug use is at a minimum. Congratulations, you two! Though I'm not sure I forgive Cheryl for the iridescent dress with puffy sleeves, it was fairly rockin' for the early 90's. Party on!

Yeh. While my memory of the day was that it was perfect, my wedding would be very very different if I was planning it today. ; )
